In 2002, I was arrested and held in the American military prison at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. I was held for two years without ever being charged with a crime. During my time at Bagram, I was subjected to severe torture and abuse. I was sleep-deprived, beaten, and interrogated for hours on end. I was also made to stand in stress positions for hours at a time.
In 2004, I was transferred to the American military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I was held at Guantanamo for three years. During my time at Guantanamo, I continued to be subjected to abuse. I was held in solitary confinement for months at a time, and I was regularly denied medical care. I also witnessed the deaths of several other prisoners.
In 2007, I was finally released from Guantanamo. I returned to my home country, but I have never been able to forget my experience. I have written this book to share my story with the world. I want people to know about the horrors that are happening in Guantanamo Bay and the other American military prisons around the world.
My book is not just a story of suffering. It is also a story of resilience and hope. I survived my imprisonment, and I have gone on to build a happy and fulfilling life. I want my story to inspire others who have suffered trauma. I want them to know that they are not alone, and that they can overcome their pain.
My book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the human cost of war. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of human rights and the dangers of intolerance. I hope that my book will help to change the world for the better.
