Elsewhere: A Poetic Journey Through the World's Cultures

In a world that is increasingly interconnected, it is more important than ever to celebrate our diversity. The new anthology Elsewhere: Poets In The World does just that by bringing together the voices of poets from all over the globe. From the bustling streets of New York City to the serene landscapes of the countryside in Japan, the poems in this collection explore the themes of home, belonging, and displacement.

The poets in this anthology come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and their poems reflect their unique perspectives on the world. Some of them write about the challenges of leaving home and starting a new life in a foreign country. Others write about the beauty and diversity of the world's cultures. And still others write about the importance of finding a sense of belonging in a world that can often feel overwhelming.

No matter where they come from or what their experiences have been, the poets in this anthology all share a common goal: to use their words to create a sense of connection and understanding between people from all walks of life. Through their poems, they invite us to see the world from a different perspective and to appreciate the beauty of our differences.

Here is a sample poem from the anthology:

"Home" by Ocean Vuong

I was born in Saigon, But I grew up in America. I am a child of two worlds, But I feel at home in neither.

In Saigon, I am the foreigner, The one who speaks the language But does not know the customs. In America, I am the other, The one who is always seen As an outsider.

I am a stranger in both worlds, But I am also a citizen of both. I am the bridge between two cultures, And I am the voice of the voiceless.

I am home in neither world, But I am home in both.

The poems in Elsewhere: Poets In The World are a powerful reminder that we are all connected to each other, regardless of where we come from or what our experiences have been. They are a celebration of our diversity and a call to action for us to build a more just and equitable world.
